Alexis Ruiz

Alexis Ruiz is a seasoned accountant with over 3 years of experience in public tax accounting. He has been with Leading Light Accountancy since 2024, specializing in tax preparation and tax research. 

Alexis began his accounting career at Arazoza and Co., working as a tax preparer, serving multiple clients of varying sizes and needs. In his subsequent role at PwC, he identified, designed, and implemented numerous improvements focused on enhancing the client experience. These improvements led to greater efficiency in the preparation of the 1041s and 1099s for his clients, and, in turn, increased client satisfaction. 

Originally from Florida, Alexis earned his Bachelors in Accounting at Florida Atlantic University in 2020, followed by his Masters in Accounting in 2022. After obtaining his Masters degree, Alexis moved to Portland, OR.

Alexis now resides in Vancouver, WA, where he spends his personal time exploring nature, cooking new recipes, and practicing playing the guitar.
