Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Prepare Tax Returns: 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, and 1120-S for our business and individual clients with precision.
- Gather Information: Review client-provided information and track down any missing pieces to ensure accurate and timely filings.
- Communicate Effectively: Collaborate with clients and team members to clarify tax matters and ensure seamless service.
- Build Relationships: Start forging strong connections with clients, because great service comes from understanding their needs.
What We’re Looking For:

Preferred Qualifications:

Salary Range: The annual base salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, and skill level.

Job Title: Staff Accountant

Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team. This position is integral to our operations, handling primary responsibilities related to accounts payable, financial statement reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, communicative, and ready to serve our diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Accounts Payable processes for various clients.
Prepare and maintain trial balance support documentation and necessary adjustments.
Perform accurate monthly financial statement reconciliations.
Complete bank reconciliations across client accounts.
Render professional accounting services on behalf of the firm to the general public.
Participate in educational programs and firm meetings to stay current on accounting practices.
Maintain clear communication regarding workflow and scheduling.
Schedule & Hours:
Standard Hours: 40 hours per week.
Tax Season (Feb 15 – Apr 15): Monday – Thursday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
Non-Tax Season: Monday – Thursday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.
Flexibility: We offer the choice between working five 8-hour days or four 10-hour days. Daily start times and lunch breaks (30 or 60 minutes) are flexible to fit your needs.
Remote Work: A flexible work-from-home policy is available for occasional adjustments, appointments, or specific days, provided there is clear communication and consistency.
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly Rate: $25-$35/hour (Performance reviewed annually in December).
Health Insurance: 100% employer-paid Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance (effective the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment).
Paid Time Off (PTO): Accrual of 120 hours per year of non-holiday PTO (including sick time).
Holidays: Paid time off for New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
Professional Development: Reimbursement for approved professional organization membership fees, dues, and continuing professional education (CPE).
Expense Reimbursement: Reimbursement for business-related mileage and client entertainment expenses.
Requirements:
Demonstrated experience in bookkeeping or accounting (Accounts Payable, Reconciliations, Trial Balance).
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
Strong communication skills for interacting with the Accounts Manager and clients.
Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and professional standards.
Note: This position requires the signing of an employment agreement including post-termination non-compete terms.
